About me
Nadezhda Gerasimova, urbanist and architect, researcher in the field of neuroarchitecture
Hello. I'm Nadezhda Gerasimova. I studied architecture at SPbGASU (Saint Petersburg State Architectural and Civil Engineering University), and worked as an urban planner and architect in such bureaus as Semren & Mansson and Strelka KB. I also worked on various independent projects, ranging from interiors of libraries and offices to territory development projects and creating a service for collecting citizens' ideas called Urbanpinion.

Currently, I am still engaged in territory development projects as well as neuroarchitecture projects and research. I explore how the built environment influences cognition, orientation, wellbeing and sensory experience.

My areas of interest and expertise include:

  • Neurourbanism & Neuroarchitecture
  • Inclusive Design
  • Multisensory Design
  • Environmental Psychology
  • Territory Branding
